Returning to the Nature from Which We Came

These high mountains are
The lands in which I adore.
For that,
I set out upon them.
No phones, no pets, no cigarettes.

Built upon divinity,
Untampered by man.
Not the blackest of highway
May taint this beauty.

Divinity reins superior.

Formations in which instill an
Empowering peace,
Of which in,
Our vocabulary is lost.
Strong and masculine,
Yet gentle and nurturing,
Mother Nature raises within us
An inert calmness.
The characteristics of which baffle
our very being.

Looking out to this open void leaves
Us without speech,
For this vast beauty
Will never succumb to our meager  words.

Not the most talented of photographer,
Nor the most cleaver of poets
Lie within the realm to capture
The reality of this wonder.

Not the most logical of thinkers
May rationalize
the cause of this
Exchange between
the mountains and our spirit.

It is a gift,
That we all may
know this feeling,
That we may all experience
this empowerment.
Let it remind us
as the late and great
Christopher McCandless once did,
that it is not
the less important to
be strong,
but to
Feel strong,
the more.

Masculine, feminine, plant and animal,
All are invited into
Natures caressing arms,
To lay down our clothes and
Return to the free nature from which we came.

Relieve yourself from the
corruption and frustrations of daily life,
Removed yourself from the stressed bondage and conceptions
Of our attire,
and
Revitalize emotional strength.

Return to nature
And merge with
the perpetual peace
Of her being.

Leave nothing to mask
Yourself from this divinity.
